Tex Mex Creamy Jalapeno Dip

I first tried this at one of the first Tex-Mex spots we visited after moving to Texas in 2015, and it might have been my whole meal. While their menu is fantastic, it’s Chuy’s white jalapeño dip that really stood out, with just the right mix of sour cream and mayo creaminess, fresh jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice. They also serve perfectly lightly salted chips, which I’m happy to skip making myself—store-bought works just fine for me.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 1oz ranch dressing mix
  • 1-2 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1t minced garlic
  • 1 cilantro bunch, chopped
  • 2-3 t fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 2-4 T milk

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients together to desired consistency, sometimes I prefer it thicker or thin depending on my mood.
  2. Chill and enjoy with tortilla chips.
