As a consultant in the regulated fields of Life Sciences and Medical Devices, I’ve discovered a sense of creative freedom through food. Traveling for work gave me the chance to enjoy Michelin starred restaurants, but it was the hidden gems—those small, unassuming spots—where flavorful dishes, cozy atmospheres, and heartfelt chats with cooks and fellow diners truly left their mark. To me, food is the heart of comfort and community meant to be shared.

I enjoy tweaking recipes, and I've begun updating family recipe cards to cater to those monitoring their A1c and cholesterol levels. My philosophy is that cooking should be uncomplicated, flavorful, and economical.

I love dreaming up kitchen ideas that make cooking fun and easy, while giving old recipes a fresh twist inspired by the unique flavors from Hawaii to Texas. Road-tripping through Texas to dive into its culinary scene is always such an adventure. Like Hawaii, Texas is a melting pot where people bring their food traditions and add a Texas spin. In 2025, when The Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ List came out, I kicked off my Bingo stamp quest to visit as many as possible. The BBQ scene here, with its mix of Mexican, Korean, Egyptian, Vietnamese, and Hawaiian influences, has been an absolute treat, and I can’t wait to uncover even more.
