Brussel Sprouts w/ balsamic garlic red pepper flakes
This is a fast and easy way to enjoy vegetables when I don't have extra bacon jam to toss in. I like how these roasts in the air fryer without having to use my regular oven.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Brussel sprouts
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 t BBQ rub (Harcore Carnivore Black)
- 3 T honey
- 1 T shoyu
- 1 T balsamic vinegar
- 1 - 2 T minced garlic
- 1/4 t crushed red pepper flakes, more for added kick, crushed in mortar and pestle
Directions
- Heat oven to 400F.
- Wash Brussel sprouts, cut the ends and cut in half, set in a bowl.
- Add olive oil, BBQ rub to bowl and toss evenly.
- Transfer to a silicone lined baking pan and roast about 25 minutes, tossing halfway through.
- In a saucepan add honey, shoyu, balsamic vinegar, garlic and red pepper flakes over med heat.
- Simmer about 5 minutes to thicken.
- Return cooked Brussel sprouts to bowl, pour glaze over and toss.
- Enjoy.
