Miller's Smokehouse - Belton
Belton perfectly captures the charm of small-town USA with its good food, strong faith, and warm Texas hospitality. We tried the Big 'Un, a sandwich loaded with a sampling of every meat, and it did not disappoint. The broccoli salad was a light and refreshing side—we were thankful we didn’t order anything heavier, or we might have needed to be rolled out!
We also grabbed the smoked sausage and a chocolate pie to go. That pie, with its amazing crust, was absolutely delicious. I always make it a point to get dessert at a good BBQ spot because they really take pride in their food. My appetite isn’t what it used to be, and desserts are easy to pack in a cooler to enjoy later at home. Belton is also a great town to walk off a wonderful BBQ meal, with sights like the city hall, quaint merchants, a classic department store with fun window displays, and an old-fashioned theater.
It’s no surprise they made Texas Monthly's Top BBQ list for 2025—plus, I got my third stamp!
